Reservation Tours Pow Wow

For the first time we offer several new tours through the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservation.
Our Tours start in Hill City or  The Four Winds Ranch  through, Cuni Table, Pine Ridge,  visiting Family Red Cloud, Red Cloud Indian School, Fort Robinson, Wounded Knee, Kyle, Wamblee over the Cedar Pass ( Badlands ) to Rapid City, where it ends with a visit in " The Journey Museum "or the Prairies Edge Trading Post.
You have the choice of 1 day or 2 days  tours. All our tours are in partnership with friends and businesses in the Reservations. We thank the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Tribal Offices for their help and advice. All the tours are individual, depending on the weather or the time we arrive at the sites.

Pine Ridge Historical Tour ( 1 day )

- Start is in Custer and at the Four Winds Ranch, drive to Fort Robinson,
visiting the Fur Trade Museum. Visit the Red Cloud family in their Porcupine Quill work Shop. stop by at the Red Cloud Indian School and Museum which was the first boarding school in the Reservation. Drive up to the Wounded Knee Massacre Site, over Sharp Corner, Chimney Butte and Scenic back to Rapid City where we end the tour in a visit at the Journey Museum a supper meal and a shopping opportunity in the Prairies Edge Trading Post and Museum.

Pine Ridge Scenic Tour ( 1 day )

Buffalo in CSP - Start is in Custer, our tour brings us over Hill City, Keystone, Hermosa, into the Back door of the Badlands, Red Shirt Table, Cuni Table, where a hundred years ago the " Ghost dance " took place. We stop for a lunch break at Cuni Table Cafe. Our way follows old sand roads into the heart of the Reservation. We pay a visit to friends of ours, Bernard & Christine Red Cloud. This  family, is working in the old tradition of Porcupine Quill. Making breath lets, dream catcher, medicine wheels, earrings, had bands and much more. From there we drive to the Red Cloud Indian School , one of the first boarding schools there was in this area. From there we regarding our respect for the people who died in the " Wounded Knee Massacre Site " . We drive along wonderful scenic sites to the bizarre landscape of the Badlands National Park. Our tour brigs us to one of the most breathtaking spots of the Badlands, Cedar Pass. From the mystery of this outrages hills we have to go on to the end of our trip tours Rapid City, where your experience will end in the Journey Museum, a supper meal and a shopping possibility in the Prairies Edge Trading Post and Museum.

Pine Ridge & Rosebud Tour ( 2 days )

- This is our most booked tour. Come along with us to visit friends in the Reservation, see unforgettable landscapes and walk with us in the history of this land and their
original owner. We start this wonderful tour in Custer. Drive over Hill City, Keystone, Hermosa into the Grasslands through the backdoor into the Badlands National Park. On the first day we visit Red Shirt Table and Cuni Table, where hundred years ago the Ghost dance took place. Our way leeds us through old sand roads to Pine Ridge, where we visit friends, Bernard & Christine Red Cloud. One of the best Porcupine Quill workers along the States. We have a chance to look at the first boarding school in the Pine Ridge Reservation, Red Cloud Indian School. From Pine Ridge we hit south to the old Sioux Indian Agency in Fort Robinson and pay a visit to the Fur Trading Museum. After Lunch our trip leads us to the Wounded Knee Massacre Site and to our overnight stay in Kyle. We be welcome with a traditional Lakota dish and sleep in a comfortable Bed and Breakfast.
After a wonderful breakfast we driving through Allen to have a look at the old Buffalo Pastures.
Our next stop is in Rosebud, where we visit the Sinte Gleska University with a beautiful gift shop, all handmade by the students of the University. We drive further to Saint Francis, where we can have a visit to the Sioux Museum. Our drive brings us back over White River, Cedar Bute tours the Badlands National Park, where we spend some time on Cedar Pass, to see the wonders of this area. After a deep impression of this natural wonder, we go on tours Rapid City. Some of you might want to stop at Wall drug, just to have it seen once. We ending our journey in the Journey Museum in Rapid City, have a late supper and the chance to either visit a traditional drum factory or go shopping in the Prairies Edge Trading Post.
Our Bus brings you back to Custer, where you can park your cars.

Oglala Lakota College Graduation Pow Wow ( 1 day )

This wonderful graduation Pow Wow is a very nice, smaller Pow Wow at mid June.

Oglala Nation Pow Wow Tour ( 1 day )

Every first weekend in August  the Oglala Nation Pow Wow and Rodeo takes place on the Pow Wow grounds in Pine Ridge. We can take up to 25 people with us to visit this large Pow Wow.Pow Wow

Reservations

Pow Wows and overnight tours book up very quickly during the peak season. Please book several weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.
